Short description of your business:

College Works Painting program gives students an opportunity to build a competitive resume and gain marketable leadership skills.  CWP helps university students develop, implement and illustrate a strong work ethic, strong communication skills, effective organizational management skills, powerful sales skills, and an overall understanding of the mechanics of leadership that can be applied to any profession.

 

How many employees are there?

I have 8 painters working for me. I will be running 2 crews of two painters each with two backup painters for each crew.

When was your business established?

Summer of 2011

Who is your ideal customer?

Homeowner’s that wish to help a young student whom aspires to be an entrepreneur to get a jumpstart into the world of business and entrepreneurship.

What is unique about your business that you feel distinguishes you among others offering similar products or services?

Not only am I running a painting business, but I am also a student at Cascadia Community College majoring in Business and I am running my own painting business to learn valuable skills to help me succeed in the future.

Tell us something that would surprise people about your business:

This is just my first year in the painting business but I am having a great time so far and look forward to gaining more experience and working with people.

Family information (kids, pets, etc):

Live at home with Mom (Diane Moran), Dad (James Moran) and my two younger brothers AJ (18) and Matt (14) with our little Yorky dog Lupo (3)

Personal interests or hobbies:

I played Basketball and Football for Bothell High and I still love playing basketball whenever I get the chance. Also, hanging out with friends and being active is all I need I’m easy to please.

If money were no obstacle, what would you do?

Retire now, live in San Diego for the rest of my life and enjoy the sunshine and being young!

My Grandma’s homemade pizza. (She is from Italy!)

Kit Kat, YUM!

RED

Most exciting trip you’ve ever taken:

I’m about to go to Italy so that will probably take the cake, but San Diego was beautiful!!

Tell us something that would surprise others to learn about you:

I lived in 3 different states before the age of 12! Georgia, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Finally we moved to Bothell, Washington and have been here ever since.
