Business Information:

Short description of your business:

As a personal money coach, I specialize in helping individuals, professionals and small business owners who want to improve their day to day relationship with money. Walking through a unique process with me, clients gain clarity around their current moneylife and learn how to change those things that are not working in their favor. Together we look at issues regarding spending and savings habits, relationship to debt and getting out of the debt cycle, planning month to month in a way that ensures the client can be successful, among many other things.

I walk two roads with my clients: One is the mechanical side of money, where clients learn extremely effective planning tools for spending and savings plans and debt reductions plans. The second road is the emotional side of money, meaning how past experiences affect feelings and beliefs about money that may be causing self defeating money behaviors.

These two approaches, and learning how to bring about positive change where needed, clients find the confidence, control and peace of a balanced moneylife.

What is unique about your business that you feel distinguishes you among others offering similar products or services?

Money coaching fills a much needed niche not currently addressed by other financial professionals, such as financial planners, advisors or accountants, who do long range planning and investing. As a money coach, I sell no products nor do I give investment advice. Money coaching is about today, this week, this month. It’s about taking a holistic approach, looking at current habits and behaviors with money that are not working, and understanding feelings and beliefs underlying these behaviors. And most importantly, it’s about having someone there to act as a teacher, guide and mentor every step of the way.

With me, the client has that support. We walk the road together, hand in hand, for as long as it takes. I do not teach a process and walk away. We work together in an atmosphere that is non-judgmental and a supportive place to look at today and learn new ways. The result is balance; a relationship with money that is in line with the client’s goals and life values.

Tell us something that would surprise people about your business:

I do not tell people what they must do with their money. My clients and I look at alternatives, options, pros and cons. We discuss what will work best for them and how to get there. We work at the client’s own unique pace and comfort level.
